Continue readingJoe Fiveash leads most of the enterprise business at The Weather Company, including the media business, which provides award-winning on-air, web, and mobile solutions that help broadcast media stations deliver more compelling weather and visualization content and engage audiences on every device. He also leads the teams focused on emerging spaces such as simulation, automotive, and insurance.
He is a proven leader with demonstrated ability to build large and profitable digital businesses across multiple platforms, as well as to create new revenue streams in both startup and large company settings. Joe has been with The Weather Company for 15 of his 30-year career, with deep experience across the consumer and enterprise parts of the business. He served as vice president of strategy and media solutions for The Weather Company while part of IBM, and previously was general manager of The Weather Channel digital division and had executive leadership roles in product and business development.
Between stints at The Weather Company, he served as executive vice president of digital media and strategy at Raycom Media, as senior vice president of ecommerce and corporate development of CafePress Services for CafePress, Inc., and as president and chief revenue officer of Vertical Acuity. Earlier in his career, he also held roles in new ventures, sales, and product development.
He received his MBA and JD from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
