As the world’s most accurate forecaster, The Weather Company offers actionable weather data and insights to millions of consumers via The Weather Channel (weather.com) and Weather Underground (wunderground.com) and thousands of enterprise clients and marketers to help them make better decisions based on the impact of weather.
D.J. will lead revenue efforts across The Weather Company’s consumer digital properties as well as the data enterprise business. This includes an innovative suite of media, data and technology products and services like the newly launched data and insights platform The Weather Engine™, which combines trusted data sources, AI and expertise to help businesses harness weather and scale its use across an enterprise. His purview will include enterprise data sales, programmatic and emerging revenue, industry sales, growth and demand, and client services.
D.J. has played a role in many different aspects of The Weather Company, previously serving in leadership roles such as head of sales, senior vice president of agency partnership and development, senior vice president of multi-platform sales, and vice president of Midwest advertising sales. He also served as head of industry sales for IBM Watson Advertising when The Weather Company was owned by IBM. Prior to joining The Weather Company, he worked with Home and Garden Television (HGTV) and J. Walter Thompson Advertising in Chicago.
In support of his community, D.J. worked with the Fresno County Department of Public Health as a case investigator during the COVID pandemic and helped launch the first vaccination clinic. He holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from the University of North Dakota.
