Continue readingSheri Bachstein serves as President of The Weather Company, the world’s most accurate forecaster, offering actionable weather data and insights to millions of consumers and thousands of enterprise clients and marketers. Sheri assumed the role of President in November 2024 to accelerate the company’s enterprise business. In this role, she leads The Weather Company’s Advertising, Aviation, Media, Weatherverse, Weather Data & Intelligence, and Business Development teams to help enterprise clients build resilience, drive growth, and retain a competitive edge as the world adjusts to changing global weather patterns and their impacts.
During Sheri’s impressive tenure she has held a variety of roles to shape and drive The Weather Company. Most recently, she served as the CEO, leading the company through 11 consecutive quarters of growth and successfully re-established The Weather Company as a stand-alone business with its divestiture from IBM to Francisco Partners.
Prior to that, Sheri served as the global head of the consumer business, which included all aspects of The Weather Channel, Weather Underground and Storm digital properties — product management, design, content development, and global expansion. She has also led global audience growth, international consumer product, product operations, audience products, and product management.
Sheri previously worked for The Weather Channel television network as a senior producer and part of the “storm tracking” team. In her career, she has also served as vice president of product and content at RMS Networks in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and as a producer for WGNX-TV in Atlanta.
Sheri won an Emmy Award for breaking news coverage of the Atlanta Centennial Park bombing and an Associated Press Award for sports reporting. She sits on the boards of Interactive Advertising Bureau and Digital Content Next, two leading industry organizations advancing innovation in advertising and publishing. As a long-time Atlanta resident, Sheri received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Georgia State University. She enjoys playing golf, tennis, traveling, art, and cooking.
